Timothy Burners Lee was Born in London, England on June 8th, 1955. He Graduated from the University of Oxford in 1976. He created computer software for the Plessy communications company for two years. He then worked in the European particle physics lab named CERN for 6 months. While working at CERN Timothy conceived of and was able to invent what we now know as the hyperlink. In 1989 Burners-Lee conceived of the world-wide-web. In 1990 and 1991 he invented the world wide web and the first browser. In 1993 he established the W3 Consortium at MIT and held the first 3COM Founders Chair. He has won several awards for his contributions to computer science, including the ACM A.C. Turning award.
Dan Bricklin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1951. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 1973. After college, he was the project leader for WPS-8 word processing software and helped create one of the world's first- word processing systems. He went back to college and received his MBA from Harvard in 1979. He founded a company name Software Arts, Inc., also known as Software Gardens, with his friend Bob Frankston and developed VisiCalc. VisiCalc is known as the world's first electronic spreadsheet, which was one of the reasons computers rose in popularity as quickly as they did. He also created "Dan Bricklin's Demo Program", which has been awarded as the best tool for programmers. In 1995 he founded Trellix which provided web producing and development services. In 2003 Trellix was acquired by Web.com and Dan returned to Software Gardens. Even today he still develops software and speaks for several other corporations.
Marc Hannah was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1956. He earned his Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from IIT in 1977. He later got a Masters and PH.D. from Stanford. Marc Hannah met Jim Clark while getting his masters at Stanford. Hannah and Clark co-founded Silicon Graphics, Inc. with five others. They founded ground-breaking computer graphics technology. He developed effects used in popular films such as Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, and Beauty and the Beast. Marc Hannah left the company as vice president and chief scientist in 1997. When he left the company, it was a multimillion dollar company. Hannah has pioneered many forms of computer hardware and software, working on projects to help people all around the world.
